Fall 2024 Fashion Trend Forecast

Ah, fall—my favorite time of year in NYC. The streets are buzzing with people from all over the world, converging on this tiny island, and you can feel the excitement and energy pulsing through every corner, right into your veins. These streets have taught me so much about dressing; they soothe my sweet, luxurious soul. Don’t get me wrong, I love summer and all its beachy vibes, but fall attire? That’s where the real magic happens. The cooler temps give me a chance to truly play with my wardrobe. And let’s be honest, layering as the evenings get chillier? That’s when style comes alive.

As we head into fashion month, here are a few trends you’re bound to see on the streets of NYC, London, Paris, or Milan.

Skinny Jeans Are Back

Let’s be real—I never stopped wearing skinny jeans. Why would I? But this season, they’re officially back. One thing to note: no ripped skinny jeans. That’s a hard pass. Wear them if you want, but anyone with style is skipping that look. If skinnies aren’t your thing, no worries—boot cuts are still going strong, and Elsa Hosk has been showing us all how to style them right.

Riding Boots

Riding boots are non-negotiable this fall. Stuart Weitzman, Hermès, Celine, and Gucci have all brought their A-game with killer options.

Oversized Blazers

Bust out your oversized blazers, but this time, cinch that waist and pair them with skinny jeans or some Wolford leggings. I’m all about styling my riding boots with the ribbed align leggings from Lulu—they’re next level.

Velvet Ballet Flats & Loafers

Velvet ballet flats and loafers are always a vibe. Bonus points if you style them with knee socks this season.

Oversized Trenches

Oversized trenches are having a major moment right now. I’m particularly obsessed with The Row’s lightweight version—perfect with denim and loafers, or styled with stirrup leggings and ballet flats. Pro tip: as the temperatures drop, layer it with an oversized cashmere sweater and complete the look with riding or western boots for that effortlessly chic vibe.

Maxi Skirts

Whether it’s denim, silk or suede, the midi and maxi skirts are here to stay this season. I’m particularly loving suede for that rich, fall texture.

Square Toe Boots

We saw a sweet iteration of square toe boots from Khaite, and they’re a must-have this season. Perfect for adding a bit of edge to any look.

Zebra Print

Zebra print is having a moment, and it’s the perfect way to add a fun pop to your fall wardrobe. Whether it’s a statement coat or a chic accessory, embrace the wild side.
