ERA: Circa 1980s · Céline Paris, pre-Michael Kors era · Made in France
HISTORY & DESCRIPTION:
Before the Phoebe years, before the accent came off the name, Céline was the Paris house of the equestrian carré — a place where a silk square was drawn with the same seriousness as a piece of jewelry. This one is from the 1980s, when the maison was leaning fully into its bijoux motif: gilt curb chains, navy leather straps buckled and looping, scarlet cord threaded through it all, and four corner medallions set with cabochons in ruby, sapphire and emerald. At the center, a Céline coin ring anchors the whole composition like a clasp.
It’s trompe l’oeil at its most opulent — the print reads as an actual belt-and-chain draped across cream silk twill, framed by a jewelled border and the deep navy edge that was Céline’s signature of the decade. Hand-rolled, hand-stitched hem. Made in France.
STYLE TIP
Wear it knotted at the throat over a white shirt, tied to the handle of a black bag, or folded into a headscarf — it was designed for the woman who wanted her accessories to look like heirlooms, and forty years on, that’s exactly what it has become. Worth keeping forever.

Costume Jewelry, Reimagined
One vintage sterling heart padlock — four screw-head rivets, a keyhole, a shackle that still opens — swings from a pavé-set bail on an antique ribbon, black and scattered with tiny mauve roses. Victorian sentiment in miniature: a heart you close and keep the key to.
Style Tip:
Tie it high as a choker. Loop it into a bow at the collar. Wrap it twice at the wrist. A little Victorian, a little rock and roll, entirely yours.
Worth keeping forever.

Black stretch grosgrain, gold interlocking clasp, leather-bound ends. A small debossed Miu Miu tab on the inside, where only you know it’s there.
This is the belt that finishes the look without announcing itself. Cinch it over a blazer, a cardigan, a slip dress, a coat — the elastic does the work, the clasp does the talking. Prada-era minimalism with a Miu Miu wink.
Quiet. Sharp. Always in rotation.
Worth keeping forever.
