Chunky Chains

If you know me, you're well aware that I've been a devoted advocate of layering chunky chains for as long as I can remember. My obsession with the art of mixing metals and hunting down the most exquisite trinkets was the very inspiration behind the creation of The Jeweled Box. With that in mind, I'm certainly no stranger to the world of layering, which is why I'm dedicating this entire post to showcasing innovative ways to style your layered look.

1. It's essential to invest in one or two high-quality chains because they're timeless pieces that will never go out of style. One of my earliest chain acquisitions was this hollow link chain, and I immediately fell in love with its versatility. What I adore most about it is the ability to personalize it and add my unique touch with custom diamond-encrusted clasps and charms

Pro Tip: Consider getting a shorter chain, around 16 inches in length. This way, you can easily layer it with your standard 18-inch chains from your jewelry collection.

2. When it comes to investing in jewelry, it’s true that some pieces can be on the pricier side. However, I encourage you to consider the concept of “cost per wear” when selecting each item.

The Paperclip Chain in 14k Gold

Let me share my own experience – after acquiring my hollow link chain, I embarked on a treasure hunt in the diamond district, searching for the perfect pieces to complement it. That’s when I stumbled upon two extra-large oval link chains, each measuring 7 inches. These beauties could be connected together with two clasps and worn as a versatile 15” choker, or transformed into a striking bracelet, adorned with a giant Louis Vuitton lock. The moment I laid eyes on them, I was sold, and I haven’t taken either of these pieces off for the past five years. I’m no longer gatekeeping them. If you’re eager to curate your own chain game, don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

xx,

Christina

Pro Tip: Pair your chunky chain game back to your wrist with the hollow link bracelet in buttery 14k gold.
